2024年里，白茅岭监狱围绕“铸警魂、砺精兵、强作风、担使命”主题，聚焦民警岗位之需，全面推进实战大练兵，全年累计开展各类比武练兵 60余次，累计 7800余人次民警参训。
厉兵秣马日，练兵正当时。历经监区层面选拔和监狱层面6月、8月、10月多轮比武检验，来自监区一线的15名民警脱颖而出，进军白茅岭监狱年度岗位练兵比武总决赛。

决赛采取“辩”“答”“听”“比”四轮角逐，重点考核民警监狱管理制度体系掌握、突发警情处置思路、执法教育口头表达等能力。

“辨”＞明察秋毫，笔迹辨人
大屏幕给出参赛民警承包管理监组内罪犯周记的照片。一般来说，每名民警至少管理着12名罪犯。参赛民警现场根据笔迹，快速回答出图片中周记对应的罪犯番号和姓名。

“答”＞初露锋芒，应知必答
考核民警对习近平法治思想、人民警察重要训词精神、监狱工作理论和实务等“海量”知识和内容的掌握情况。参赛民警逐一作答，要求保持极高的正确率。

“听”＞耳听为实，辩声识人
参赛民警随机听取承包管理监组中1名罪犯亲情电话的录音片段，现场根据声音，快速回答出录音中对应的罪犯姓名、番号和家属关系。

“比”＞案例再现，巅峰比肩
前三轮过后，进入前六的选手进入第四轮。通过视频或文字给出一个狱内外突发情况的模拟场景和典型案例，民警快速反应，给出处置要点和路径，评委评议后分别打分，最终决出冠亚季军。
